Two more persons were arrested from Bengaluru in connection with the alleged piracy of Zubeen Garg’s last film ’Roi Roi Binale’, which was released on October 31, police said on Monday.
Those arrested were identified as Md Saddam Hussain and Mousam Gogoi. Hussain was apprehended on Saturday, while Gogoi was nabbed on Sunday, they said. Another person, Md Rofidul Islam, was arrested in Kokrajhar on November 20 for allegedly uploading video clips from the film on his YouTube channel ’Rafiqul R Vlogs’.
The trio has been booked under Section 318(2) of the BNS, along with Section 63 and 65 of the Copyright Act, Section 66 of the IT Act, Section 61(2) of the BNS, and Sections 6AA/6AB/7 of the Cinematograph Act, police confirmed.
Zubeen Garg's sudden passing plunged Assam into deep sorrow, with fans and admirers gathering in large numbers to watch Roi Roi Binale as a tribute. The film has already crossed ₹30 crore at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Assamese film to date.
Earlier, the Assam government had urged the public to refrain from supporting piracy — a cause close to Garg’s heart, as he had actively campaigned against it due to the severe impact it has on regional cinema.

Emotions ran high since the pre-dawn release of Garg’s swan song on October 31, with the musical breaking box office records and becoming the highest-grossing in the history of the Assamese film industry, earning over Rs 33 crore.
