National Award winner Manoj Bajpayee, who became a national rage after the release of Satya, is celebrating 26 years of his iconic character, Bhiku Mhatre.
The actor shared many pictures from the movie, which catapulted him to stardom. Manoj won many awards for his role as gangster Bhikhu Mhatre in Satya.
There was no looking back for Manoj after the release of Satya, which was directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He also won the National Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Critics) for his role as Bhiku Mhatre.
While sharing some stills from Satya, Manoj wrote, "Mumbai Ka King Kaun? #26YearsOfSatya." This was the most famous dialogue of Satya and is still mouthed by many fans.
Prior to Satya, Manoj was seen in the TV show Swabhimaan, then in movies like Shekhar Kapur's Bandit Queen, Drohkaal, and Tamana, but it was Satya that changed things for the actor forever.
After winning the National Award for Satya, he won his next National Award for the movie Pinjar, which was based on Amrita Pritam's famous novel 'Pinjar'.

His other notable movies were Prakash Jha's Raajneeti in 2010, followed by Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur, in which he played the role of Sardar Khan and received immense praise for his role from critics and fans alike.
He is now being loved as Srikant Tiwari in the spy series The Family Man. The actor has already started shooting for the third season of the hit series.
