The song ‘Tu Hai Champion’ from the upcoming Kartik Aryan-starrer sports drama film ‘Chandu Champion’ was unveiled on Thursday. The song on YouTube had almost 1 lakh views in three hours of it being released.

‘Chandu Champion’, directed by Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan, is a biopic of Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar, and the film will show Kartik Aryan in the role of a boxer, wrestler, and soldier.

Murlikant Petkar, born in 1944 in Sangli, Maharashtra, won an individual gold medal in the 1972 Summer Paralympics, in Heidelberg, Germany. While serving in the Indian Army, Murlikant was a tradesman known as a jawan in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME).

Composed by Pritam, the song ‘Tu Hai Champion’, which also features Vijay Raaz as encouraging a weepy Kartik Aryan, following Kartik Aryan’s character promising that he’ll become a “champion”. The song further shows the physical transformation that Kartik Aryan’s character undergoes vis-à-vis the strenuous training as part of the Indian Army.
