Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has emerged as a surprise hit at the box office. The romantic drama opened strongly on Diwali and continued to perform well in its first week. On Friday, its fourth day in theaters, the film managed to recover its budget through domestic collections alone.

According to industry tracking website, in India, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat made Rs 22.75 crore net in its first three days of operation. Despite the fact that Diwali was a one-day event, the movie's earnings remained consistent, with no single day drop surpassing 15%.

The film's four-day domestic total came to Rs 28.25 crore net on Friday, October 24, 2025, with a mere 8% decrease from Thursday's earnings of Rs 5.5 crore.

The movie had an 18.56% overall Hindi occupancy rate in theatres on the same day. In terms of show timings, morning shows were 10.00% occupied, afternoon shows 22.69%, evening shows 0%, and night shows 22.99%. Even though the figures might not seem remarkable, they are remarkable given the film's modest Rs 25 crore budget.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat faced competition at the box office from Maddock Films’ horror-comedy Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, yet it has held its ground.

A review by Moneycontrol described the film as "a cinematic ride of unrestrained emotion, indulgent romance, and pulsating drama. It is not a subtle love story—it is a spectacle built for audiences who revel in intensity, fiery confrontations, and music that lingers long after the credits roll. While certain plot twists strain credibility and the second half drags at times, the film’s energy, strong lead performances, and striking visuals make it a watchable affair. Designed for mass appeal but still relatable to viewers who follow a story of desire pushed to extremes, this film presents a bold, unapologetic, and occasionally over-the-top romance."

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa in lead roles, alongside Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan in supporting roles.
