Tom Cruise is back with another death-defying stunt that has fans in awe. The Hollywood action star just made Super Bowl Sunday even more thrilling by dropping an explosive teaser for his highly anticipated film, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. And, as expected, Cruise is once again pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

The teaser wastes no time throwing viewers into high-octane action. It opens with Ethan Hunt (Cruise) sprinting through a dense forest, his signature determined look locked in place. From there, the adrenaline only escalates—diving into deep waters, clinging to the side of a soaring aircraft, and reuniting with his trusted allies, including Vanessa Kirby and Hayley Atwell.

But the most jaw-dropping moment? Cruise is seen hanging upside down from a plane at 10,000 feet, a stunt so extreme that even he admitted to losing consciousness multiple times while filming.

Known for performing his own stunts, the 62-year-old action legend continues to raise the bar for practical effects in Hollywood. Over the years, Cruise has pulled off some of the most daring feats ever captured on film—from scaling the Burj Khalifa to performing a HALO jump from 25,000 feet. However, this latest aerial stunt was next-level dangerous.

Speaking with Empire magazine, Cruise revealed the brutal reality of filming at such extreme altitudes, “When you stick your face out, going over 120 to 130 miles an hour, you’re not getting oxygen. So I had to train myself how to breathe. There were times I would pass out physically; I was unable to get back into the cockpit.”

The daring sequence, featuring Cruise gripping the wing of a vintage 1930s Boeing Stearman biplane, was first teased in a trailer released two months ago.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is set to bring back director Christopher McQuarrie, who has helmed the franchise since Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015). The film is produced by Paramount Pictures and Skydance, with a star-studded cast including Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, and of course, Cruise leading the charge.
