Dulquer Salmaan is celebrating a big success with his latest film, Lucky Baskhar. After facing a tough time with the earlier release, King of Kotha, which did not do well, Dulquer has made a strong comeback. Directed by Venky Atluri, Lucky Baskhar has been gaining positive reviews and word-of-mouth since its premiere shows just before its official release on October 31.

The film had an impressive opening weekend, earning Rs 6.5 crore on its first day, followed by Rs 6.5 crore on the second day, and then Rs 7.5 crore on the third day. By Sunday, the film had earned Rs 8 crore, bringing its total to a fantastic Rs 29.4 crore domestically and about Rs 39.9 crore globally by Saturday. Now, it is safe to say that Lucky Baskhar has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark worldwide, which is a big achievement.

Lucky Baskhar has already outperformed Dulquer’s previous Telugu film, Sita Ramam which made Rs 27.05 crore in its opening week. Lucky Baskhar managed to surpass that amount in just four days. However, the real challenge now is to see how it performs on the first Monday after its release, which is often a crucial test for big films.

The success of Lucky Baskhar is also reflected in its performance in different languages. The Telugu version has brought in the majority of the revenue, but the Tamil and Malayalam versions have also made a significant impact, contributing about 35% of the total earnings. This success is partly due to the extensive promotions done by Dulquer and the director in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The audience response has been overwhelmingly positive, leading to high occupancy rates in theaters. The Telugu version had an occupancy of about 51.67%, while the Tamil version saw an impressive 78.48% and the Malayalam version had around 63.17%. This is especially noteworthy considering that there were other major releases during the same time, such as Amaran featuring Sivakarthikeyan, Brother starring Jayam Ravi, and Bloody Beggar with Kavin.

After Lucky Baskhar, Dulquer Salmaan is set to return to Telugu cinema with another film titled Aakasam lo oka Tara. There are rumors that he may reunite with his co-star Sai Pallavi from the film Kali. Additionally, he will also be working on a Tamil film called Kaantha, which is set in the 1950s in Tamil Nadu.
