Telugu film Kuberaa directed by Sekhar Kammula and starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna has hit theatres on June 20, 2025. The movie had low pre release buzz due to minimal promotions. However trailer created some excitement just before the release.

Early trade reports suggest that Kuberaa could earn around Rs 7 to Rs 9 crores on its opening day depending on audience response. However as the film is getting positive talk from the first show, the movie is expected to get more collections and it can even cross the Rs 10 crore mark.. Meanwhile advance bookings have already brought in around Rs 4 crores.

Also in Telugu-speaking states response seems slightly better compared to Tamil Nadu where the buzz is average. This is surprising considering Dhanush is a major star in Tamil cinema. Analysts believe that lack of marketing has hurt its pre-release momentum especially in Tamil regions.

The film is said to be content-driven with fewer commercial elements. Sekhar Kammula’s style of emotional storytelling and performances by the lead actors could draw more audience. This pattern has worked for many content-rich films in the past that grew slowly through strong audience feedback.
