Love was well and truly in the air as stars Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang said “I do” in a breathtaking wedding ceremony on 16 October.
It was a celebration that felt straight out of a fairy tale, with all the glittering magic to match.
Thanks to a webcast that transformed the private occasion into a communal celebration, the couple exchanged vows in front of close friends, family, and millions of loyal fans in the beach city of Sanya, which is located in China's Hainan Province.
True to the personalities of the bride and groom, the celebration exuded happiness, grace, and a dash of fun mischief from beginning to end.
The experience that fans witnessed could only be characterised as a cinematic one. The entire ceremony unfolded like chapters of a love story, complete with many costume changes, choreographed passages, and a backdrop that looked like something from a fantasy movie.

A quirky and charming incident that swiftly went viral on social media was when Xu Yiyang threw a bouquet of broccoli in place of conventional flowers.
A gorgeous glass ring was given to Xu, a Disney-worthy detail, and their wedding cake was shaped like a gigantic castle, was sliced beneath a shower of confetti.

The bride and groom dazzled in specially created attire that mirrored their individual tastes and common journey, while guests were pampered with personalised gift baskets.
Familiar faces from the industry attended, including aespa’s NingNing, a fellow SM Rookie and longtime friend of Xu, as well as actor Liu Yuning of The Prisoner of Beauty.
However, no EXO members, including Luhan, Zitao’s old friend and fellow SM alum, were seen at the event.
Their relationship has been quietly blossoming for years. The pair first met in 2015 at SM Entertainment, where Xu was still training and Zitao was already rising to fame.
Rumours swirled in 2020, but it wasn’t until 2023 that they confirmed what fans had long suspected that they were very much in love.
Earlier this year, they quietly registered their marriage, promising a proper celebration when the time was right.
