Fans of BLACKPINK are ecstatic about Lisa's official debut in Korean cinema.
With a new Netflix movie called Extraction: Tigo, which is a spin-off set in the same universe as the well-known Extraction franchise, which starred Chris Hemsworth, the K-pop sensation is scheduled to make her eagerly anticipated acting debut in South Korea.
The news was first reported by Korean media and has already created a buzz across the internet.
Extraction: Tigo is expected to be packed with action and emotion, and Lisa will be joining a powerhouse cast that includes some of South Korea’s biggest names.
Among them are Ma Dong Seok, known globally for Train to Busan, and Lee Jin Wook, who gained popularity through Sweet Home.
This marks a big step for Lisa, who recently signed with the major talent agency WME. Although she’s no stranger to the screen — having appeared in the hit series The White Lotus Season 3 — this will be her first Korean-language acting project.
The film is being directed by Lee Sang Yong, best known for his work on The Roundup: No Way Out and The Roundup: Punishment, and will be co-produced by Ma Dong Seok’s own company, Big Punch Pictures.

The film, which is set against the gritty backdrop of the Extraction universe, promises complex characters, intense action, and now, with Lisa on board, a new dynamic that fans are excited to see.
Acting seems like a logical next step for Lisa. She is now prepared to showcase another aspect of her talent, as her charisma and stage presence have already won over hearts all over the world.
Her schedule is still full; she recently released her debut solo album Alter Ego, which features hits like Rockstar and New Woman featuring Rosalia, and is currently on the DEADLINE world tour with BLACKPINK.
