The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 featured Prashant Tripathi, an accountant from the Revenue Department in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. After securing Rs 50,00,000 in the previous episode, he returned for the next big challenge—the Rs 1 crore question. Host Amitabh Bachchan welcomed the audience, praising Prashant's articulate Hindi, which even left Big B occasionally puzzled due to its complexity.

Mr. Bachchan playfully recalled moments from the earlier episode when Prashant’s father humorously criticized his habits, particularly their disagreements over air-conditioner settings at home. This led to a lighthearted conversation where Big B suggested a long hot-water bottle as a middle-ground solution for the couple's temperature battles.

Before attempting the Rs 1 crore question, Prashant shared how his cautious mindset made him walk slowly toward the hot seat. He revealed receiving advice from well-wishers overnight on how to play wisely. His wife lovingly encouraged him to trust his instincts, adding, “Whether he becomes a crorepati or lakhpati, he will always remain my pati.”

The makers aired a heartfelt video showcasing Prashant’s dedication and his wife’s unwavering support. Prashant quipped that if he won Rs 1 crore, his wife would become a “crorepatni” before he became a “crorepati.”

Finally, the much-anticipated Rs 1 crore question appeared:

“In the 1930s, who among these was nominated for a Nobel Prize five times by the father of a future UN Secretary-General?” A) Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, B) Mahatma Gandhi, C) C.V. Raman, D) Rabindranath Tagore.

After intense contemplation, Prashant chose to quit the game, walking away with Rs 50,00,000. Before leaving, he guessed Option C) C.V. Raman, which turned out to be incorrect. The correct answer was Option A) Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.

Despite missing the jackpot, Prashant’s remarkable journey and inspiring story won millions of hearts.
