The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 marked the beginning of India Challenger Week with a thrilling "Jaldi 5" segment. Contestants Krishna Selukar and Paritosh Bhatt competed fiercely, with Krishna securing a place on the hot seat on his third attempt. This episode was special for Krishna, who entered the competition to fulfill a lifelong dream of making his father proud and demonstrating his ability to excel in life.

As Krishna settled into the hot seat, the iconic host, Amitabh Bachchan, presented the first question for Rs 20,000, asking which religion the depicted place of worship belonged to. Krishna correctly identified the image as related to Buddhism. This marked the beginning of a series of engaging exchanges between Bachchan and Krishna, leading to a touching recollection from the megastar.

In a heart-to-heart conversation, Krishna revealed that he is currently preparing for the MPSC exams while staying at a charitable 'Matha' (hostel) in Pune. He shared his experience of living with eight other individuals in a single hostel room. This prompted Amitabh Bachchan to reminisce about his own early days in Kolkata when he earned Rs 400 per month and shared living quarters with eight others. Bachchan spoke fondly of the camaraderie and joy that came from those challenging yet memorable times. "We were eight people living in one room, and though there were only two beds, we had fun. Sometimes we slept on the floor, sometimes elsewhere, but we were always happy," Bachchan recalled, his voice tinged with nostalgia.

Krishna's video showcasing his hostel life resonated deeply with Bachchan, who humorously noted that while Krishna had eight beds in his room, he and his roommates had only two, leading to frequent, light-hearted disputes about who would get to sleep on the beds. This camaraderie and shared struggle struck a chord with the audience, as Bachchan's own humility and connection to the past shone through.

The conversation shifted to Krishna's devotion to Bajrang Bali Hanuman. Bachchan and Krishna recited the Hanuman Chalisa together with full passion, further bonding over their unique ability to write with both hands. Bachchan shared a childhood memory of being scolded by his father for writing with his left hand, which led him to adapt to using his right hand instead. Krishna showcased his ambidextrous talent, impressing Bachchan, who joked, "Sir, you and I will make a great pair... I am also a lefty but try to write with my right hand." The lighthearted banter between the two created a memorable and entertaining moment for the viewers.

Krishna faced the question for Rs 1,60,000: "Who succeeded General Manoj Pande as the Chief of Army Staff in 2024?" Using the 'Double Dip' lifeline, he correctly answered with Option C) Upendra Dwivedi. Krishna shared that his journey in education had been tumultuous, as he initially pursued Electrical Engineering but later switched to Computer Engineering under his brother-in-law's guidance. However, he never fully embraced either field and eventually lost his job during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a period of unemployment and tension with his father. Despite these challenges, Krishna remained determined to excel in the MPSC exams and secure a government position, vowing not to return to his village until he achieved job security.

The next question for Rs 3,20,000 asked which former chief ministers of Indian states had also become Prime Ministers of India. Krishna correctly chose Option A) Uttar Pradesh and became emotional as he decided to give the entire amount to his father. Overcome with emotion, Krishna expressed that this was his first income, and he wanted to present it to his father, who was visibly touched by the gesture. His father shared that he had always wanted Krishna to succeed in life, and now he was proud to be known by his son’s achievements.

Krishna continued his winning streak, answering questions for Rs 6,40,000 and Rs 12,50,000 with the help of lifelines. Along the way, he had a playful exchange with Bachchan about his love life, which left the audience in splits. However, Krishna maintained his focus on his career, stating, "When I get a job, the girl will also come, sir." This led to more teasing from Bachchan, who praised Krishna for his clean thoughts but lamented that his efforts to uncover more about Krishna’s personal life had been in vain.

The emotional high point of the episode came when Bachchan surprised Krishna with a video call to his mother and sister. Krishna broke down in tears as he spoke to his family, expressing gratitude for their support and recalling how his mother had encouraged him to study in Pune. This touching moment highlighted the deep bond between Krishna and his family, leaving both the audience and the host moved.
