The film surpassed the lifetime collections of Salman Khan’s Sikandar (Rs 176 crore), further cementing its place as a nationwide cinematic phenomenon.

In just 11 days, Kantara Chapter 1 surpassed Saiyaara and sits comfortably at second place among 2025’s highest-grossing Indian films, trailing only behind Chhaava.

The prequel has broken into the top 20 highest-grossing Indian films ever, currently ranked 17th, outperforming several Hindi originals under Rs 1,000 crore worldwide gross.

Globally, the film grossed Rs 655 crore, including Rs 191 crore from Karnataka alone, surpassing the records of 2022’s Kantara and even KGF: Chapter 2 in the state.
