Actor Kangana Ranaut recently shared her thoughts on witches, describing them as "women who are connected to their higher self." Posting on X (formerly Twitter), she emphasized that such women possess an "uncontrollable urge to break all boundaries."
The discussion began when X user John Collins posted, "Don’t be afraid of witches, be afraid of the ones who burned them." Kangana responded by sharing the tweet and adding, "Witches are women who are connected to their higher self, their intuition, infectious free spirit, indomitable will power and uncontrollable urge to break all boundaries make them mysterious, frightening and threatening to those who are caged and cursed."

She went on to elaborate, "Caged people believe that gifted people have some evil powers and they must be burnt to ashes, misery exists in so many forms and jealousy is the most miserable of them all. You can choose to be jealous or be inspired, make a smart choice, those who choose to be inspired are the chosen ones, break the cage and break free (slightly smiling face emoji)."

The post resonated with actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who shared a screenshot of Kangana's tweet on her Instagram Stories and wrote, "Word," also tagging Kangana in the post.
In the meantime, fans eagerly await Kangana's upcoming political drama, Emergency, which she has written, directed, and co-produced. Initially scheduled for release on September 6, the film faced multiple delays due to issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It has also stirred controversy, particularly receiving criticism from Sikh groups over its portrayal of the community. However, with the film now certified by the CBFC, Kangana has confirmed that a new release date will be announced soon.
Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, Emergency depicts the period when former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed an emergency in India from 1975 to 1977. The film features an ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman, among others.
