Actor Kangana Ranaut recently extended a personal invitation to Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to watch her upcoming film Emergency. In the film, Kangana portrays Priyanka’s grandmother, the iconic former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The invitation was reportedly made during an interaction between the two MPs in Parliament, sparking interest in the film’s portrayal of the historical figure and the era she shaped. "I actually met Priyanka Gandhi ji in Parliament, and the first thing I told her was, ‘Aapko Emergency dekhni chahiye (You should watch Emergency),’” Kangana recounted. "She was very gracious and responded, ‘Yeah, maybe.’ I said, ‘You will quite like it.’"

The actor highlighted the care and depth she infused into her portrayal of Indira Gandhi, focusing on the critical period when her government declared Emergency in India.
