Almost two years after the world lost Friends star Matthew Perry, his sister Caitlin Morrison says she still feels her brother’s presence around her every day.
Speaking to Variety, Caitlin shared that even though he’s gone, there are moments when she senses him nearby — and can almost hear his familiar voice responding to her, just as he used to.
“I feel him around a lot and I can hear the things that he would say in response to the things that are going on as if he’s actually here saying them. Maybe he is. I don’t know. Who knows? Maybe ghosts are real,” she said softly.
“We’ll make some pottery together,” referencing the classic film Ghost.
Her words have deeply resonated with fans across the world, many of whom continue to hold Matthew close to their hearts.
Best known as the sarcastic yet lovable Chandler Bing, Perry’s performance in Friends made him a household name and a symbol of humour, vulnerability, and heart.

Matthew Perry passed away in October 2023, leaving behind not just his unforgettable work, but also a legacy defined by honesty and courage.
In his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, he wrote candidly about his lifelong battle with addiction and his desire to help others facing similar struggles — a mission that continues to inspire countless people.
For Caitlin, his memory lives on not through fame or success, but through everyday moments — the sound of his laughter, the advice he might have given, the warmth he always brought.
Her reflections remind us that grief never truly disappears; it simply changes shape. It becomes a quiet conversation, a fleeting thought, a smile that returns when you least expect it.
Even in his absence, Matthew Perry’s spirit seems to live on — in his sister’s words, in the laughter of millions, and in the comfort that comes from believing that love, like humour, never really dies.
