Tragedy at Maha Kumbh

While the Maha Kumbh is a significant religious event, it also witnessed a tragic incident on January 29. As millions of devotees rushed to take a dip in the holy river on Mauni Amavasya, a stampede occurred, leading to the death of 30 people and injuring 60 others.

The massive crowd gathered at the riverbanks, pushing forward in the hope of taking a dip in the sacred waters. However, the overwhelming number of people created a dangerous situation, leading to the tragic loss of lives. Authorities tried to manage the situation, but the sheer number of devotees made it difficult to maintain order.

Despite the unfortunate incident, the Maha Kumbh remains an important religious and cultural event. People from across India and the world continue to participate in the festival, believing that the holy dip washes away sins and brings spiritual blessings.
