Harry Potter HBO TV series casting is in full swing, with the makers already finalising the leads, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. However, the makers are now looking for a perfect candidate for the iconic villain, Lord Voldemort, who was originally played by Ralph Fiennes.

Interestingly, the makers are also looking for a female Voldemort. Industry insider Daniel Richtman took to his official X (formerly Twitter) and teased the details. The tweet reads, “They’re auditioning both men and women for Voldemort so it’s possible we could see a female Voldemort in the Harry Potter series!”
The gender-swapped role might work if HBO can find an actress who is skilled at playing villains. Meanwhile, further details of the casting have been kept under wraps.

Previously, the network announced the cast who will play the popular Weasley siblings. Tristan Harland will portray Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland plays George, Ruari Spooner will play Percy, and Gracie Cochrane has been cast as Ginny. They are joining Alastair Stout, who was already announced to play Ron.
