Aamir Khan is making a comeback with the upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor recently created a buzz with the announcement after releasing the trailer of the film, which gave a glimpse of the other cast members.

Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh joins the cast as Aamir Khan’s love interest in the upcoming sequel of Taare Zameen Par. The actress will be collaborating with the Aamir Khan Production after their iconic film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na.

During a recent interview with IANS, the actress expressed her excitement for being a part of the project and revealed that the upcoming film brings her back to meaningful cinema. She also shared her experience of working with Aamir.

Genelia said, “Collaborating with Aamir Khan Productions after all these years feels incredibly special. This role is unlike anything I’ve done before! It’s emotional, layered, and deeply human. I’m truly grateful for the love the trailer has received, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the film.”

The recently released trailer of Sitaare Zameen Par reveals Aamir Khan as a rude and arrogant basketball coach who lands in legal trouble for his reckless actions. However, the court ordered him to coach a team of specially-abled children as a punishment, which is the beginning of his inspiring journey.

The film features 10 debutant actors, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, and Simran Mangeshkar, among others.

Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the upcoming film is produced by Aamir Khan. Aparna Purohit, and Ravi Bhagchandka under Aamir Khan Productions banner. Divy Nidhi Sharma is behind the screenplay. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the lyrics with the music composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

Sitaare Zameen Par is scheduled to hit the theatres on June 20.
