Doordarshan has officially announced the launch of Fauji 2, a sequel to the classic TV show Fauji, which originally aired in 1989 and featured a young Shah Rukh Khan.
This new series is set to premiere on October 15 and will be broadcast on India’s national channel, Doordarshan. The producers promise that Fauji 2 will capture the spirit of the original show while introducing a fresh story and a new cast.
In the lead roles, Fauji 2 stars Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan. They will be joined by a talented group of twelve new actors, including Aashish Bhardhwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Rudra Soni, and Sushmita Bhandari. The series will focus on the lives of soldiers, celebrating their sacrifices and dedication, similar to what the original show did so well.
The music for Fauji 2 is also a highlight. Famous singer Sonu Nigam will sing the title track, and music director Shreyas Puranik has composed eleven songs for the series. This musical aspect aims to enhance the overall viewing experience and connect with both new audiences and fans of the original show.
The direction of Fauji 2 is being handled by Abhinav Pareek and Nishant Chandrashekhar. Pareek is known for his work on other shows like Sab Moh Maya Hai and A Wedding Story. The production team, which includes Sandeep Singh, Vicky Jain, and Zafar Mehndi, is committed to making a modern version of the show that resonates with today’s viewers.
While there is a lot of excitement surrounding the show, details about Shah Rukh Khan's involvement are still unclear. However, the producers have hinted at possible surprises for fans of the original series, which has generated a buzz among the audience.
