This weekend, many films were running in theatres across India, and the audience had several choices. From Bollywood dramas to big Hollywood releases, the box office was buzzing. Here’s how some of the top films performed on Sunday.
Bhool Chook Maaf
Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s film Bhool Chook Maaf had a strong first weekend. The movie released on May 23 and showed good growth over three days. On Sunday, it collected Rs 11.25 crores, which is the highest among its three days. The film had already earned Rs 7 crores on Friday and Rs 9.5 crores on Saturday. With this, the total earnings of Bhool Chook Maaf have reached Rs 27.75 crores in just three days. It is off to a good start and may continue to do well if word of mouth stays positive.
Kesari Veer
Kesari Veer, starring Sooraj Pancholi and Suniel Shetty, did not perform well at the box office. On Sunday, the film earned only Rs 32 lakhs. That’s much lower compared to other movies currently running. In total, it has collected only Rs 88 lakhs in its first weekend. This means it could not even cross the Rs 1 crore mark in three days. The film is struggling and might not last long in theatres unless business picks up soon.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
Tom Cruise’s action film Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning continues to impress Indian audiences. Released on May 17, the movie collected Rs 7 crores on its second Sunday. Its total box office collection in India has now reached Rs 72.30 crores. The movie is doing well and is expected to earn more in the coming days, thanks to Cruise’s popularity and thrilling action scenes.
Raid 2
Raid 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor, was released on May 1 and is still going strong even after nearly four weeks. On its 25th day in theatres, it earned Rs 2.4 crores. So far, the film has made a total of Rs 162.10 crores, making it one of the biggest hits this year.
Kapkapiii
Shreyas Talpade’s film Kapkapiii has had a slow start. It collected Rs 38 lakhs on Sunday, and its total collection now stands at Rs 92 lakhs. It may cross the Rs 1 crore mark soon, but the growth has been slow.
Lolo and Stitch
The Hollywood film Lolo and Stitch also released on May 23. It has earned Rs 3.3 crores so far at the Indian box office. Though not a massive hit, it is showing steady performance.
