Ramya Krishnan is stepping into uncharted territory, and she’s doing it with style, smoke, and swagger. The acclaimed actress, known for her powerhouse performances across decades, is teaming up with none other than Ram Gopal Varma for his upcoming horror-comedy Police Station Mein Bhoot. The first look alone has the internet buzzing, and rightly so, it’s fierce, eerie, and oozing confidence.

In the images shared by RGV on social media, Ramya looks every bit the enigma he promised. Draped in dark tones and smoky makeup, she sits in a police station with a cigarette in hand, embodying the kind of controlled chaos that only she can deliver. Varma wrote, “Here is ⁦Ramya Krishnan⁩ in POLICE STATION MEIN BHOOT,” teasing fans with a character that’s equal parts mystery and menace. He later clarified that Ramya isn’t actually playing a ghost — which only deepens the intrigue. Another photo of her riding a motorcycle prompted the filmmaker to ask, “What character could Ramya Krishnan be playing?” sparking endless fan theories online.

This project is particularly exciting because it marks the first collaboration between Ram Gopal Varma and Ramya Krishnan — two icons of Indian cinema with reputations for bold choices and unapologetic storytelling. For RGV, the film also signifies his big return to Hindi cinema after a long hiatus.

Police Station Mein Bhoot features an impressive ensemble with Manoj Bajpayee and Genelia Deshmukh in leading roles. Shooting began in September, with Manoj sharing his enthusiasm online: “From Satya to now… some journeys are meant to come full circle. Thrilled to reunite with Ram Gopal Varma for our new horror comedy Police Station Mein Bhoot. This one is special.”

The film’s concept plays perfectly into RGV’s twisted sense of humor and flair for horror. As he explained, “After a deadly encounter killing, a police station becomes haunted, making all the cops run in fear to escape the ghosts of the gangsters. With cutting-edge VFX and spine-chilling effects, Police Station Mein Bhoot will be a fun-filled horror film that terrifies you.”
