Priyanka Chopra Jonas is celebrating Karwa Chauth in her signature global-meets-traditional style. Despite managing a packed schedule across India and the US, the actor has already begun her festive preparations, and this year, her daughter Malti Marie joined in the fun.
On October 9, Priyanka shared a glimpse of her pre-Karwa Chauth rituals on social media. In one of the clips, she proudly displayed her freshly applied mehndi, with “Nicholas” written in the center of her palm. Tagging celebrity henna artist Ishirin Charaniya, she wrote, “@ishirincharaniya doing her thing this Karva Chauth (sic).” The warm, personal touch reflected how Priyanka continues to blend her Indian traditions with her life abroad.
She followed it up with another post, this time featuring little Malti. The photo showed the mother-daughter duo’s hands side by side, both adorned with intricate henna designs. The post quickly went viral, with fans praising Priyanka for passing on her cultural roots to the next generation, even while living away from India.
Karwa Chauth holds a special place in Priyanka’s life. Since her marriage to Nick Jonas in December 2018, she has celebrated the festival every year, often sharing glimpses of her rituals online.
Her previous celebrations included full traditional attire and fasting, a gesture that Nick has publicly appreciated and even participated in by fasting alongside her.
