Siddhant Chaturvedi released the first poster of his upcoming film as V. Shantaram and has been receiving praises and applaud from fans and celebrities alike and among them was Kantara fame Rishab Shetty.

On December 2, Siddhant unveiled a series of images featuring his transformation as V. Shantaram. His remarkable resemblance to the legendary filmmaker has ignited excitement, with many fans already setting high expectations for both the biopic and Siddhant’s performance.

He wrote an emotional note about taking on such a famous role alongside the first look, saying, "Thank you for all the love and support we've been showered with on the poster. It truly means a lot. Couldn't have been a better time than now to tell and remind us of a story of rebellion and of the glory of Indian cinema that shaped the country. for me it's beyond words."

Siddhant appears in a striking period avatar in the poster that he shared on social media on December 1. The poster features him standing next to an antique film camera, wearing traditional clothing and a Nehru cap.

Siddhant seems to have slipped so seamlessly into Shantaram’s world that it becomes difficult to tell where the man ends and the character begins. The makers echoed this sentiment, writing, “With the first poster, we are sharing a glimpse of that journey, with Siddhant Chaturvedi stepping into a role we always believed he was meant to play.”

For those who don't know, V. Shantaram was a legendary figure in Indian cinema. He was born Shantaram Rajaram Vankudre in Kolhapur in 1901. His extraordinary career spanned nearly seven decades, during which he founded two influential studios: Prabhat Film Company in 1929 and Rajkamal Kalamandir in 1942. Indian filmmaking's narrative style was greatly influenced by his vision and inventiveness.

The film V. Shantaram is directed by Abhijeet Shirish Despande and produced by Rahul Kiran Shantaram, Subhash Kale, and Sarita Ashwin Varde. It is presented by Rajkamal Entertainment, Camera Take Films, and Roaring Rivers Productions..

For Siddhant Chaturvedi, this role marks a defining moment in his career — one that positions him to portray a man whose artistry helped mould the very language of Indian cinema.
