Deepika Padukone visited Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, to mark the 10-year anniversary of her foundation Live Love Laugh, which has been dedicated to spreading awareness and offering support for mental health across India.

Having been an advocate for mental health for over a decade, Deepika reflected on her journey and the positive impact her foundation has created during the event. When asked if she has ever felt that standing up for what she believes in has cost her anything, Deepika's candid and sincere response demonstrated her inner strength and grace.

She said, “I’ve been through such experiences many times, whether it’s about fair pay or other matters. I’ve had to deal with the challenges that come with it, though I can’t always describe them easily. I’ve always fought my battles quietly, and at times, they become public for reasons beyond my control. That’s not how I was raised or what I intend, but for me, handling things silently and with dignity is the only way I know.”

Deepika also addressed the recent debate surrounding long working hours in the film industry, saying she has faced similar situations before and has always dealt with them calmly and respectfully.

For those unaware, the discussion began after reports surfaced that Deepika and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga had differences when she requested an eight-hour work schedule after becoming a mother.

She was also in news for stepping back from Kalki 2 with Prabhas. There were reports that she had sought an eight hour shift and also a cut in the profits. Though nothing has come from either side.

She will soon begin shooting for Atlee’s upcoming film with  Allu Arjun aa her co- star.
