Hours after reports surfaced that actress and former Miss India Celina Jaitly had filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Peter Haag, and sought Rs 50 crore for the loss of earnings caused by him, Celina shared a long, emotional post confirming the situation and opening up about how alone she feels.
Celina filed her petition in a Mumbai court on November 21, following which a notice was issued to Haag, an Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier. In her plea, she stated that she has faced severe emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse from her husband, which eventually forced her to flee their home in Austria and return to India. She also mentioned that Haag had filed for divorce in an Austrian court in August this year.
On Tuesday, November 25, Celina posted a picture of herself on Instagram along with a long message describing the struggles she has been going through. She shared how difficult this period has been without her parents and brother and without any real support system.
Her caption read, "In the middle of the strongest most turbulent storm of my life I never imagined I would spend fighting alone, without any parents, without any support system I never thought there would come a day without all the pillars on which the roof of my world once rested, my parents, my brother, my children, & the one who promised to stand by me, love me, care for me, & bear every trouble with me."
She added, "Life stripped everything away
People I trusted walked away
Promises I believed in broke in silence
But the storm did not drown me
It delivered me
It tossed me out of violent waters onto warm sands
It forced me to meet the woman inside me who refuses to die."
Celina then expressed that being a soldier’s daughter has shaped her into someone strong and resilient. She explained that she was raised with courage, discipline, grit, resilience, fire, and faith. She wrote that she has learned to get back up when life tries to break her, to keep fighting even through pain, to stand firm when she is wronged, and to survive situations that feel impossible.
Clarifying her priorities, Celina wrote, "My priority remains fighting for my soldier brother, fighting for my children’s love, fighting for my dignity. A DV complaint has been filed against all the atrocities, abandonment perpetrated upon me."
She went on to thank her legal team, saying they became the support she desperately needed during her darkest moment. According to her, "In my darkest hour, the legal force to reckon with, Karanjawala & Co, became the shield I needed to fight for my dignity & rights, I am so grateful for their unwavering understanding and protection."
Celina also noted that since the matter is in court, she cannot make any further public comments. "As my matter is subjudice, I am unable to make any comments at this time I kindly request you to contact my legal representatives for any official information or statements," she wrote, sharing their details for reference.

She ended her post on a note of strength and hope: "Here is to the year that will not break me Here is to the year I rise higher than the storm Here is to the year I reclaim everything that was taken from."
Celina and Peter Haag married in 2011 and welcomed twins in 2012. Five years later, they had another set of twins, but sadly, one of the babies passed away within two months due to a hypoplastic heart.
