Malayalam star Mammootty, who entertained audiences with films like Bazooka and Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse earlier this year, will now be seen in a digital double dhamaka. Faced with the main delay in their OTT release, the two releases are now set to make their streaming debut — together and on the same platform.

As per Sakshi Post, ZEE5 has grabbed the digital rights for both Mammootty's movies, and that's an interesting update for those who missed the films in theatres or are desperate to catch the action online.

Mammootty’s action-thriller Bazooka, which attracted good pre-release buzz around its theatrical release, is now all set to premiere on ZEE5. No official streaming date has yet been announced, but it’s believed the deal has been done and that an announcement is imminent.

Directed by debutant Deeno Dennis, the film revolves around the life of Aryan Achary, a rich and influential businessman who joins hands with a police officer to hunt a suspected psychopath through an expansive and intense mind game. The cat-and-mouse game that plays out leaves viewers guessing Aryan's true identity, constantly on the edge of their seats.

Mammootty plays the lead with Gautham Vasudev Menon, Divya Pillai, Sidharth Bharathan, and Iswarya Menon in the supporting roles and Shine.

Initially set to hit Amazon Prime Video, Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse had a tepid reception at the box office, with its OTT fate remaining unclear — until now. ZEE5 has acquired the digital rights now, and the movie is likely to stream soon.

Gautham Vasudev Menon’s mystery comedy-thriller has Mammootty playing CI Dominic, a former corrupt police officer who turns out to be a private investigator. What starts as a mere routine case of a missing purse expands into something much darker: missing people, murder, and someone who appears to be stalking a classical dancer.

It features an ensemble cast including Gokul Suresh, Sushmitha Bhatt, Viji Venkatesh, Vineeth, Siddique, Vijay Babu, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, etc.

What’s next for Mammootty?

Next, Mammootty will be seen in Kalamkaval, a crime thriller helmed by debutant Jithin K Jose. Well, the megastar plays a bad man here, and he has to contend with the Jailer Vinayakan! Inspired by the shocking true story of Cyanide Mohan serial killer, the movie is due out August 1, 2025.
