Ayushmann Khurrana, who made his debut with 'Vicky Donor', recently opened up about how he dealt with the fame he gained at a young age and how it affected him.

In an interview with Honestly Saying Podcast on their YouTube channel, Ayushmann mentioned, "I started very young. I was about 17-18 when I was in Pop Stars, and about 20-21 when I joined Roadies. Pehli film hit hone ke baad dimaag kharab ho gaya tha (I lost my mind after my first film became a hit).

"Everybody wants a piece of you. Coming from that middle class background, when you become a public figure, you just think you need to give your 100% to your profession. Your personal life takes a backseat. But, striking a balance is very important for family and relationships. I understood this very early on." He said.

He went on to add, "I think you have to tread this middle path of being content and ambitious at the same time. It is a difficult line to be in… Imbalance, failures, criticisms… once you face that, one realises the balance. It is not easy to detach."

Sharing his thoughts on long-term relationships, Ayushmann said, "The most important decision of your life is choosing your partner. The right partner can take you to heights, while the wrong one can destroy everything for you. Your life revolves around this. I have had a long journey from growing up in a patriarchal environment to now becoming a feminist. This could be possible because of my partner."

He added, "Now, if women are attracted to me, it is because of my wife. I have become a certain person because of her. We don’t believe in materialism. We were in theatre together. She used to write plays for us and I use to act in it. At the end, it all comes to friendship. If the two of you love spending time together, it means you are sorted."

Earlier, in an interview with Mashable Mehfil, the actor mentioned, "It is very difficult to deal with fame when you are 16, 17, and in your teens. I remember I broke up with my then-girlfriend because I was getting attention from other girls. I went through that phase when you’re just getting a taste of fame and popularity."

Ayushmann Khurrana is married to Tahira Kashyap. The couple, who have been together since their school days, tied the knot in 2008. They have two children: a 10-year-old son named Virajveer and an 8-year-old daughter named Varushka.

On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in 'Dream Girl 2'. He is set to join the horror-comedy universe of Maddock Films with 'Thama', which will also feature Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is scheduled for release in 2025.
