Akshaye Khanna set for Telugu debut

Akshaye Khanna, known for his stellar performances in Bollywood, is all set to make his Telugu film debut with Mahakali, the first-ever female-led superhero film in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).

As per a report from News 18, Akshaye's role in the film is already generating a lot of buzz, with sources revealing that he plays a key character in this high-octane action-packed movie.

While the details of his character remain under wraps, insiders have hinted at a role that will undoubtedly bring intrigue to the expanding Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. There's speculation around whether Akshaye will be the villain or perhaps a surprise hero, but for now, the mystery surrounding his character only adds to the excitement. His involvement in Mahakali adds a touch of star power to an already highly anticipated film.

Currently, Mahakali is in pre-production, with the team working diligently to finalise the cast and other essential details.

According to a source, director Puja Aparna Kolluru and creator Prasanth Varma are particular about their casting choices, especially as this film marks the debut of a female superhero in the PVCU.

The lead actress, who will portray the titular character Mahakali, is expected to challenge beauty standards and bring a fresh, compelling portrayal of the Goddess Kali to the big screen.

Mahakali follows HanuMan, the first superhero film in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, which launched last year, featuring Teja Sajja.

On the work front, Akshaye Khanna was last seen in Chhaava and gave a come back in the big screen. The film was a blockbuster.
