Lok Sabha elections 2024

Indian National Congress (INC) won five seats in the Travancore region of Kerala, and remaining two was won by Kerala Congress and Revolutionary Socialist Party, according to the Election Commission of India's (ECI) data.

Kottayam, Alappuzha, Mavelikkara, Pathanamtthitta, Kollam, Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram are constituencies in Travancore region.

INC candidates won from Alappuzha, Mavelikkara, Pathanamtthitta, Attingal, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Whereas, Kerala Congress candidate won from Kottayam, and Revolutionary Socialist Party candidate won from Kollam.

Trend at 3:00PM: Indian National Congress (INC) which was leading on four seats in the early morning trend in the Travancore region has now trail on one seat, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI) data.

At 3:00 PM, INC is leading on Alappuzha, Mavelikkara, and Pathanamtthitta, data showed.

The one seat on which INC was leading earlier was Attingal, is now leading by Communist Party of India (Marxist).

Trend at 11:00AM: Indian National Congress is leading on most seat in the Travancore region of Kerala at 11:00 AM, according to the Election Commission of India's (ECI) data.

Indian National Congress candidates are leading from Alappuzha, Mavelikkara, Pathanamthitta, and Attingal.

Kerala Congress candidate is leading from Kottayam, Revolutionary Socialist Party candidate is leading from Kollam, and Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate is leading from Thiruvananthapuram.

Of these seven constituencies, BJP has fielded candidates on four seats viz., Alappuzha, Pathanamtthitta, Attingal, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Kerala turned out to be a Congress stronghold in the past election. In the 2019 polls, the Indian National Congress (INC) secured majority of the seats in the state, while the NDA failed to win a single one.

In fact, in the previous Lok Sabha elections held in 2019, the direct contest was between the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF). The NDA votes could play a crucial role in determining whether the UDF can replicate its 2019 performance.
