Metro services in Mumbai will remain partially suspended for security reasons on May 15 ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow in the Ghatkopar area in the evening.
Metro services will be suspended between Jagruti Nagar and Ghatkopar stations from 6 pm till further notice, according to the advisory issued by the city authorities.
Commuters have been requested to plan their journey accordingly, as per a spokesperson of the Mumbai Metro One.
PM Modi’s roadshow will begin at 8 pm at Shreyas Cinema on LBS road and end at Gandhi market, covering a distance of 2.5 kilometer. During the event, the Prime Minister will campaign for BJP's Mumbai North East constituency candidate Mihir Kotecha.

The Ghatkopar-Andheri-Versova Metro service provides major connectivity between the eastern and western suburbs of the city. More than three lakh commuters use the Metro services daily.
Additionally, the LBS road will remain shut for vehicles from Gandhi Nagar junction to Naupada junction, and the Mahul-Ghatkopar road will remain closed from Meghraj junction to RB Kadam junction from 2 pm to 10 pm, the police said.
The traffic will be moved to the Eastern Express Highway, Western Express Highway, Andheri-Kurla Road, Saki Vihar Road, MIDC Central Road, Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR), Sion Bandra Link Road and Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link road (JVLR).
