Reacting to the claims made by Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Nitin Gadkari told CNN News 18 that it is wrong for Abhishek Manu Singhvi or Congress to talk about him being sidelined by the party

The Nagpur Lok Sabha seat which was once a bastion for Congress has now been a BJP stronghold in the last two Lok Sabha elections and Nitin Gadkari who represents the party from here is confident of securing a victory for the third consecutive time. Nitin Gadkari had defeated seven time MP Vilas Muttemwar by a margin of 2.84 lakh votes in 2014 Lok Sabha polls and retained the seat in 2019 by defeating current Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole by 2.16 lakh votes.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi made a big claim that Nitin Gadkari will be sidelined after Lok Sabha Elections. Singhvi wrote a post on X,"My heart was pained not to see Nitin Gadkari on the stage during launch of BJP Manifesto. Is this an indication that he is going to be sidelined after elections?".

Gadkari stated that the Opposition frequently attempts to discredit the Sangh by labeling its ideology as divisive and accusing the BJP of enforcing Sangh's principles. He asserted that the Sangh does not meddle in party affairs.

Nagpur, with 22,18,259 voters comprising 11,10,840 males, 11,07,197 females and 222 third gender persons, is Vidarbha's largest city and has connection to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the ideological mentor of the BJP, as well as Ambedkarism.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called Union Minister and BJP's Nagpur Lok Sabha candidate Nitin Gadkari 'ajaatshatru' (one without enemies). Addressing a poll rally here, he asked people to ensure Narendra Modi becomes prime minister for a third term saying "hum unko laayenge jo Ram ko laaye hain" (we will elect those who built the Ram Temple).
