Delhi University’s CUET-based admission cycle for 2025 reaffirms familiar trends. Commerce courses continue to lead the charts, and once again, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has emerged as the most sought-after institution.
With 38,795 first-preference submissions, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) retains its status as Delhi University’s top destination for undergraduate students. Its dominance in commerce, especially BCom (Hons), continues unchallenged.
Hindu College secured the second-highest number of first preferences at 31,901. With its academic excellence across humanities, commerce, and science, it remains a close contender in student popularity.
Receiving 15,902 first-preference choices, Hansraj College remains a consistent performer. Known for its balance across science and commerce streams, it continues to attract high-ranking CUET candidates.
With 12,413 first-preference picks, St. Stephen’s College maintains its elite reputation. Renowned for political science, English, and economics, it stays among the top choices despite its separate admission process.
Miranda House drew 11,403 first-preference applications, reaffirming its reputation as the best women’s college in the country. Its strength in sciences and arts makes it a frontrunner every year.
BCom (Hons) led with 19.90 lakh preferences, followed by BCom (15.26 lakh) and BA (Hons) English (12.23 lakh). Commerce courses have continued their reign as the most in-demand programmes at DU.
Over 3.05 lakh students registered for undergraduate admissions this year, the highest since CUET was introduced. Candidates submitted a staggering 1.68 crore programme-college preferences, averaging 83 per person.
Candidates have until 11:59 PM on July 16 to revise their preferences. The first CSAS seat allocation list will be published on July 19 at 5 PM, kicking off the next phase of Delhi University’s admission cycle.
