The announcement came during the recent visit of the UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer. PM Modi stated that this step shows a new energy in the relationship between India and the UK, especially after the recent Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.

PM Modi expressed his happiness about this educational collaboration. He highlighted that the delegation of education leaders who came with PM Starmer was the "largest and most influential" of its kind so far.

"It is a matter of great joy that nine UK universities are now going to establish campuses in India," PM Modi said.
