Company History - Jaipur Polyspin
YEAR                       EVENTS
 1980 - The Company was Incorporated on 24th October, at Jaipur.  The
        Company's object is to manufacture synthetic yarns.  The
 Company
        was promoted by Rajasthan State Industrial Development &
        Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO) and Naga Hills Tea Co.,
 Ltd.
 
 1982 - 80 shares subscribed for by the signatories to the Memorandum
 of
        Association.  1,62,500 shares allotted to RIICO and 3,25,020 
        shares taken up by Bareilly Holdings Ltd. (now amalgamated
 with
        Naga Hills Tea Co. Ltd.) and associates.  16,62,400 shares
 then
        issued at par of which 2,67,500 shares to RIICO and 3,44,900 
        shares to Naga Hills Tea Co. Ltd. and associates were
 reserved
        and allotted.  The balance 10,50,000 shares were offered to
 the
        public in May.
 
 1986 - An additional dyeing plant, one 1150 KVA SKL diesel
 generating
        set and autoconers were also installed.
 
      - 8,60,000 Rights shares issued at par in prop. 2:5 during
 1985-86.
 
 1989 - The Company had taken up a modernisation scheme comprising the
 
        installation of latest model autoconers with individual
 splicers
        and other equipments.
 
 1991 - Margins were under great pressure due to higher cost of
        production with all round increase in raw material prices,
 excise
        duty, power and fuel charges etc.
 
      - 2 Savio autoconers of 60 spindles each were installed.  The 
        Company has taken up another modernisation scheme by adding
 TFOs,
        mixing blender machines etc.
 
      - 9,03,000 Rights equity shares issued at par in prop. 3:10.
 
 1992 - Margins were under pressure due to steep rise in excise duty
 and
        increase in prices of inputs.
 
      - The Company undertook to expand the capacity by installing 
        additional 5,760 spindles.
 
      - Two ring frames of 480 spindles were being added by way of
        balancing the existing capacity.
  
      - 2,22,000 No. of equity shares allotted on conversion of loan
 by 
        financial institutions.
 
 1994 - Because of continuous three months illegal strike and 
        consequential lockout and disturbed/partial working for
 another
        three months, profitability was affected adversely.

 2002- The Board of Directors of Jaipur Polyspin Ltd at its meeting
 held on January 19, 2002 has              appointed Dr. Ashok Kumar
 Agarwal as a Director.
 
 -Jaipur Polyspin Ltd has informed BSE that Shri Shankar Lal Dhanuka,
 Chairman and Managing Director of the Company, suddenly demised on
 December 16, 2002.
 
 2003- The Board of Directors of Jaipur Polyspin Ltd at their meeting
 held on January 25, 2003: Appointed N L Bhuwania as Managing Director
 in place of S L Dhanuka who expired on December 16, 2002. Appointed
 Mrigank as an Additional Director  C K Dhanuka was elected as
 Chairman of the company in place of S L Dhanuka who expired on
 December 16, 2002.
