Indian Railways is set to begin commercial operations of the new Gomti Nagar–Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express from Tuesday, nearly a month after the train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This will be Uttar Pradesh’s 15th Vande Bharat Express, and it will be operated by the Northern Railway zone.
Route, train number, distanceThe train will run as Train No. 26504/26503 on the Gomti Nagar–Saharanpur–Gomti Nagar route. It will cover a total distance of 535 km in about 8 hours and 40 minutes. The train will travel via Moradabad, one of the major railway junctions in the region.
Frequency and coach detailsTrain No. 26504 (Gomti Nagar to Saharanpur) will run six days a week, except Monday while train No. 26503 (Saharanpur to Gomti Nagar) will also run six days a week, except Tuesday.
The Vande Bharat Express will have eight coaches in total, seven AC Chair Cars and one Executive AC Chair Car, offering a comfortable and modern travel experience for passengers.
StoppagesDuring its journey, the train will stop at eight stations – Daliganj, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Najibabad, and Roorkee.
These halts will make the service accessible to passengers across several important towns in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
TimingsTrain No. 26504 will leave Gomti Nagar at 3.10 PM and reach Saharanpur at 11.50 PM. On the return trip, Train No. 26503 will depart Saharanpur at 5:05 AM and arrive in Gomti Nagar at 2.05 PM.
Ticket pricesThe fare for an AC Chair Car between Gomti Nagar and Saharanpur is Rs 1,460, while the Executive Chair Car ticket costs Rs 2,685.
The new service is expected to improve connectivity between eastern UP and western UP, offering passengers a faster and more comfortable travel option.
