Senior Jail Superintendent Dr Viresh Raj Sharma told PTI that Muskan was admitted around 11.30 pm on Sunday. Dr Shakun Singh, head of the Obstetrics Department, said the newborn weighed 2.4 kg and doctors were able to conduct a normal delivery. Muskan’s family has been informed, though no relatives have visited her at the hospital.

Given the sensitivity of the case, police presence has been strengthened at both the hospital entrance and inside the wards. Hospital authorities said Muskan has been kept under continuous observation throughout the day, and that security protocols and medical records are being updated regularly.
