Bajaj Auto pushes back launch of CNG-powered motorcycle to July 17

The bike was to be launched on June 18. The delay comes a day after the industry asked the government to cut GST on CNG and flex fuel-powered two-wheelers

Bajaj Auto has put off the launch of the world’s first CNG-powered motorcycle to July 17, almost a month later than the earlier announced date of June 18.

A spokesperson of the two-wheeler maker confirmed the change to Moneycontrol without citing any reasons.

Bajaj Auto managing director had told CNBC-TV18 in May that the bike would be launched on June 18.

The delay comes a day after the automobile industry asked the government to cut goods and services tax (GST) on CNG and flex fuel-powered two-wheelers.
