Rossi gears up for Austin MotoGP
Valentino Rossi seems buoyed by his strong start to the 2013 MotoGP season. Vale, who started the season opening race at Qatar seventh on the grid, carved through the field and finished second behind team-mate Jorge Lorenzo. Given that he scored a podium in his first race back with Yamaha, Rossi is raring to go!
Even while Vale admitted that the Circuit Of The Americas would throw up several challenges for riders in their first ever MotoGP race at the circuit, he seems reasonably confident that the 2013 YZR-M1 has what it takes. Rossi also admitted to liking the track very much, claiming the circuit layout was very 'special'. He also said that his goal would be to rack up as many points as possible, something he was thoroughly motivated about post the Qatar podium.
Jorge Lorenzo isn't overtly confident however. Given that the private test session held in March this year saw the two Hondas of Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa at the top of the timing sheets, Yamaha certainly does have their work cut out for them.
We're gearing up for a front of the pack battle between the two Yamahas and Hondas!
