Eon Electric - Outcome of Court Convened Meeting of Equity Shareholders & Unsecured Creditors

With reference to Court convened meeting of Equity Shareholders & Unsecured Creditors of the Company held on January 28, 2012 at 51 Kms., G. T. Karnal Road, Murthal Sonepat, Haryana as per direction of Hon''ble Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh vide its Order dated November 17, 2011, Eon Electric Ltd has now informed BSE that Equity Shareholders and Unsecured Creditors of the Company have approved the Scheme of Arrangement for Demerger of the Metering Division & proposed Power Generation business into Advance Metering Technology Limited.

The said Scheme of Arrangement is now subject to the final approval of the Hon''ble Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh.
