Torrent Cables fixes Record Date for Scheme of Arrangement

Torrent Cables Ltd has informed BSE that October 31, 2008 has been fixed as the Record Date for the purpose of determining eligibility of the equity shareholders of the Company to receive shares of Torrent Gujarat Biotech Ltd., consequent to the order of the High Court of Gujarat for merger of Torrent Cables Ltd with Torrent Gujarat Biotech Ltd.
