News Verification : The media had reports that Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited may close down its operations in the CDMA segment. The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company. Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated,"It is informed that as of now there is no plan to close down the CDMA business operations. As and when any such proposal is put up to the Board the same will be informed to the stock exchanges pursuant to the provisions of the Listing Agreement."
