Reliance Petroleum - Record Date for Scheme of Amalgamation

Reliance Industries Ltd has informed BSE that "The Board of Directors of the Company have fixed September 29, 2009 as the ''Record Date'' for the purpose of determining the shareholders of Reliance Petroleum Ltd (''RPL/Transferor Company") who will be entitled to receive Equity Shares of the Company in terms of the Scheme of Amalgamation of RPL with the Company (the Scheme). In accordance with the Scheme, the Company will issue and allot Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each to the shareholders of the Transferor Company as on the record date in the ratio of 1 (One) equity share of the Company for every 16 (Sixteen) Equity Shares of the Transferor Company". Further, Reliance Industries Ltd has submitted to BSE note on the Scheme of Amalgamation of Reliance Petroleum Ltd with Reliance Industries Ltd.
