Shaw Wallace - Updates on Scheme of Amalgamation

Shaw Wallace & Company Ltd has informed BSE that as informed earlier vide letter dated January 16, 2009, the Scheme of Amalgamation of Shaw Wallace & Company Ltd ("SWC") and Primo Distributors Pvt Ltd ("Primo") with United Spirits Ltd ("USL") has been sanctioned by the Hon''ble High Court at Calcutta on January 16, 2009. Certified copy of the Order of the Hon''ble High Court at Calcutta has been filed with the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal at Kolkata. The Scheme has, therefore, become effective from July 06, 2009.
