Ugar Sugar Works Ltd has informed BSE that the Company had invested in 2,23,35,400 shares Rs 10 each of M/s. Sadashiva Sugars Ltd, Bangalore, a Joint Venture Company of The Ugar Sugar Works Ltd and Patil Family.
Further the Company has informed that on October 10, 2009, the COmpany has sold 2,23,35,400 shares at Par (Rs 10 per share) of M/s. Sadashiva Sugars Ltd, Bangalore to M/s. EID Parry India Ltd.
With this transfer, the Company have sold all the shares held in M/s. Sadashiva Sugars
Ltd....

The Ugar Sugar Works Ltd., has embarked on a major expansion plan, which includes 2 greenfield sugar plants (with cogeneration & distillery). This will increase Ugar Sugar Works crushing capacity to 20,000 tcd in the season 2008-09 and to 30,000 tcd in the season 2010.
The stock is moving with huge volumes and will touch Rs.50/- minimum by diwali....
