Advice to aspiring women entrepreneurs: Unless you take the leap you will never know what you are capable of!
It all began from our unquenchable wanderlust and a need to be independent working mothers. It was an unlikely partnership for both of us as we belong to completely diverse backgrounds (Pooja has had a career in the field of financial services and Jayata is a homeopath by profession) but both of us refused to hang our boots as just stay-at-home mums. The one thing we had in common was our passion to travel and discover new places. And this is what we decided to take up full time and strove to achieve that perfect balance between work and home.
Having extensively travelled, we were fairly confident we would be able to make it on our own. We were also very lucky because we had the unflinching support of our husbands who helped us with the seed capital. We are aware of the fact that there are many prejudices against women entrepreneurs and setting up a small tailoring unit or a workshop can also be quite an arduous task especially in a country like India. But thankfully, we have not faced any such difficulties, because ours is a service based business. So far, we have done quite well because we have been lucky to get referrals from family, friends and their network.
Unlike other tours and travel operators we offer a highly personalized service and are reachable at any time of the day. Each client is dealt with like a close friend or relative and we walk that extra mile to make a holiday memorable for them. Relationships and customer service always remains our priority which is why clients prefer our service.
Slowly but surely, we have also been able to build relationship with corporate clients. We are expecting to break the ground further in the years to come. We think we have been exceptionally lucky because of the nature of our business and also since we have developed a solid client base now. Our finances are steady and we do not think we will face any problem or prejudice when we are trying to scale up. Most women are born with the ability to multitask and with confidence in ourselves and the will to offer the best to our clients we think we will only go from strength to strength.
