Erode, June 21 (PTI): Eight illegal textile dyeing units in Kalianore village in Namakkal district have been dismantled by Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board officials. TNPCB personnel said action has already been taken against nine such units in Pallipalayam,Aavathypalayam and surrounding areas. They said three workers who tried to prevent officials from dismantling the units yesterday were arrested. Officials warned dyeing units not to discharge untreated effluents into water sources and also to operate the factories only after getting license from the TNPCB.
