RPP Infra Projects Limited has won new orders worth Rs 23 crore from Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL). The civil and structural work order will be at the MRPL Phase-III project site in Mangalore. As the company is already executing two projects in Mangalore, A Nithya, Whole Time Director, RPP Infra Projects Ltd says this project will be very useful in expanding their base in Mangalore. RPP is engaged in the business of infrastructure development, including highways, roadways, bridges, civil construction works, irrigation, water supply projects and power plants. Below is an edited transcript of his interview on CNBC-TV18. Watch the accompanying video for more. Q: Can you just take us through this order that you have won? How much is the quantum and which segment have you won this in? A: It’s civil and structural works. It is in Mangalore Refinery Petrochemicals Ltd which is at Mangalore. The book value is Rs 23 crore and it has to be completed in 12 months. Q: What will the margins on this project be? How much will you be accruing them via financials? Will it all come at the end of 12 months? A: Yes, it will since the current season is good for construction, by six months we will complete half the work. The remaining half will be completed in the next season and it will be reflected in 12-13. Q: In terms of an opportunity geographically, you are already executing more orders in Mangalore itself. Take us through the amount of orders that you are executing there and how much of an opportunity do you see from that particular geographic region for you? A: Already we are executing about Rs 40 crore value of project in Mangalore itself. We are expecting more in the next quarter. Q: What would the total consolidated order book look like currently? A: Totally our order book size is about Rs 2,200 crore, to be executed as Rs 2,200 crore and we are expecting about Rs 100-250 crore in the first quarter of FY13. Q: You have some projects which you are executing in Sri Lanka as well? A: This pilot project won by RPP Infra Projects in 2011 is funded by the government of India through the Ministry of External Affairs. It is for the Internally Displaced People (IDPs).
