Did you know 53% of people in India would prefer a budget trip abroad to a luxury gateway at India.

According to a survey conducted by the IPSOS, a market research company, Wanderlust lures us away, but to where? For 48% in India (compared to 53% worldwide) seeing another country on a budget trip with few frills trumps a luxury vacation at home, with all of the papering and staying home, we prefer going to new places, knowing new people and being adventurous. 51% Indian females votes in the favor as compared to 45% India males.

In Latin America, however, a greater majority preferred to vacation in their own countries, with 62% clamming they would better prefer to Take a fancy vacation in their own country.

Regardless of geography and preference travel sites can now start working on it and creating ads targeting both kinds of vacationers, those who want to live it up at home and those who want to travel to a foreign land but think they may not be able to afford it.
