Did you know 60 % of people in India would rather go for a party with friends than socialize via an online network.

According a survey conducted by the IPSOS, a market research company, while virtual socializing is cool and popular, nearly  two-thirds of people in India (compared to 76 % worldwide) would rather spend time at a party, face to face with friends. With all of our texting, tweeting and facebooking, we all prefer eye contact and proximity to one another.

In Indonesia, however, social networking is the preferred form of socializing, with 60 % claiming they would rather socialize online than at a party. Regardless of geography and preference though, online social venues are increasingly a place for advertisers to "socialize" with customers and prospects.
