The European Union needs to coordinate more on economic policy and the region needs institutions that can help countries tackle crises, Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said on Tuesday.
"We have the expression of solidarity by many but we also have the difficulties of the institutions which need to be more coordinated," he told a Hungarian Socialist party meeting.
"We need more coordination in the EU on economic policy, we need institutions which will help countries in crisis such as Greece, or Hungary."
